Turial Ocean View is one of the oldest hotels in Albufeira, just steps from the beach. Spread across multiple floors, the hotel is dedicated to elevating wellbeing to new heights.
Turial Ocean View approached Kapta with a clear request to redesign its branding and website — a site that would convey scale and experience, that would be sensory and immersive. This, combined with the goals of boosting engagement and conversions.
The Kapta team focused on designing, developing, and building an elegant website to enhance user interaction. We integrated expansive, high-quality images throughout the site to deliver a captivating visual experience. We coordinated the creation of new high-resolution photographs, specifically captured for the website, ensuring that the images truly reflected the hotel's size, scale, and facilities, always maintaining a high standard of quality.
We implemented entry animations for texts and images on the website, combined with smart hover interactions on elements such as the "menu". The main goal was to increase engagement, but these techniques also helped create a truly immersive experience, allowing us to tell the story of the brand, product, and service.
While maintaining a fluid feel, we optimised the website's Calls to Action (CTAs) to increase conversion rates. We ensured the navigation included a primary CTA to book an experience, accessible from any part of the website. A mix of primary and secondary CTAs was placed in all page footers, with some pages also including CTAs within the content. These content-embedded CTAs featured prompts such as "Download the Brochure" and "What to See". We also implemented calls for related products and services on specific pages, such as related restaurants on the "what to see" page.
Turial Ocean View’s goals for the website were clear: to increase conversions, engagement, and to capture the true essence of the hotel.
High-quality design elements, such as full-screen images, helped capture user attention and contributed to a significant increase in engagement. Using Google Analytics, we tracked the time visitors spent on the site ("session duration") one week after the site’s launch. Session duration increased by 38.7% compared to the same period in the previous month.
To boost conversion rates, features such as prominent CTAs and easy navigation significantly improved Turial Ocean View’s website. In the first 30 days after launching the new site, there was a 24% increase in users clicking through to the booking platform compared to the previous month.
