The setup should identify the seller account, marketplaces and origin of each order. Its purpose is to track each sale without confusing the customer invoice amount with the marketplace settlement.
Which access is required?
The account owner must authorise the appropriate connection. Amazon provides the Selling Partner API and a notifications service; actual access depends on applicable permissions and resources. Amazon Notifications API.
Can one rule cover every sale?
First separate countries, currencies, fulfilment models and invoicing companies. A rule suitable for one store may not suit another. Identify whether an Amazon service or another application already issues documents.
How should split deliveries be handled?
Test an order with several products and separate shipments. Define how quantities and lines should appear in documents while retaining the order reference and related operations. Each notification should not be treated as a new sale.
What should I send Kapta?
Your marketplaces, invoicing software and anonymised examples of a sale, return and settlement. Specify whether you need future transactions or historical recovery. Historical imports should have date boundaries and checks for existing documents.
