How can an app, website and public information display share municipal content?

Kapta · 15/09/2026

A proposal can centralise content and adapt it for each channel: app, website and public display. The aim is consistent information with shared dates and ownership, without making staff rewrite the same update in several places.

Should content look identical in every channel?

The source can be shared while presentation fits the setting. A public display needs a summary readable at a distance; a phone can provide a detailed page. Define fields for title, summary, full content, validity and publication channels.

Who decides when information stops appearing?

Include start and end dates and a correction procedure. Changes should retain enough history to explain what was published. Test whether an expired notice leaves featured areas and whether its full page shows its status.

What if a display loses connectivity?

Define equipment behaviour and the maximum acceptable content age. The solution should identify locally stored information and help staff recognise an outdated display. A CMS alone does not guarantee that every screen is synchronised.

How should this project start with Kapta?

Kapta's institutional services present apps and public communication work, including a public information display in the Albufeira project. To assess a new connection, share existing channels, display suppliers and the current update process. Architecture should be defined for that installation.
