Start by inventorying existing addresses and content. A redesign should improve the experience while preserving access to useful information, with an explicit plan for pages that move.
What should I record before redesigning?
List pages, relevant images, forms, integrations and addresses used in campaigns. If Search Console and analytics are available, identify pages receiving visits and enquiries. Those records help decide what to preserve; without them, do not assume only the homepage matters.
What happens when an address changes?
Map each old URL to its equivalent new page. Google recommends permanent redirects for permanent changes. Avoid sending every old page to the homepage where a more relevant destination exists. Google URL migration guide.
Can current content be reused?
Yes, when accurate and useful. Review services, photographs, contacts and conditions. Add information customers need rather than rewriting everything simply to look new. Preserve details that explain the offer and help decisions.
What should be tested at launch?
Open old addresses, verify destinations and test forms, languages and booking. Check that public pages are indexable and internal links use final addresses. Agree how to restore the previous version if a critical failure appears.
Can unchanged rankings be guaranteed?
No. Planning reduces avoidable errors but cannot guarantee positions or eliminate fluctuations. Ask Kapta to include the inventory, redirect map and launch monitoring in the proposal.
